About Me

Hi, I'm Peter Fogelsanger (aka Peter Fog), an experienced growth executive focused on partner programs, presales, and strategic enablement.

Because of my diverse career, I may be a bit different than what you expect...   I started out as a developer for the Air Force and then NASA Goddard, giving me solid technical roots.

I then spent many years in sales for regional SIs / Agencies.  Co-founded a Venture Technology practice working with Entrepreneurs and early-stage companies in the NVa / DC market. 

Later, I transitioned to direct sales for enterprise B2B software.  This combination helped me understand both sides of the ISV / Service Provider dynamic.  

My more formal Partnerships career began in 2010 while I was still in direct sales at Sitecore.  There I learned a lot about partnerships from my VP and mentor Jason Crea.

As a Sales Director at Sitecore, we recruited, enabled, and managed our own ecosystem that was expecting to drive ~50% of our target revenue from them.    Jason built a Partner-led GTM strategy before that was a thing.

For more than 10 years since, I've been working with early stage companies to build partner programs, ecosystems and enablement capabilities.

Fractional Partner Leader and Consulting Services

Today, I provide Fractional Leadership / Consulting Services most frequently to early-stage B2B SaaS companies.  Most of my services are related to zero-1 partner ecosystems, enablement programs, and in some cases presales. 

As a former salesman, I'm always focused on how how the program, process and tools for partnerships drive pipeline and ARR.

I'm also very action oriented.  I like to find 'good enough,' try it and fail fast or adapt.  This means we're always working towards repeatability and predictability without over engineering things.

My goal is to leverage my mistakes, lessons learned, and best practices to help Founders and Partnership Pros skip past self learning phase and scale their partner strategy to deliver exceptional results.
